A few days after his move to Olympiakos, Filip Petrusev gave an interview to Nova’s Playmakers Show and Dora Pantelis – Grigoris Papavasileiou. The 23-year-old Serbia international pointed out, among other things, the reasons why he said “yes” to the Red Lions’ proposal, but also what he can do on the pitch once he finds his competitive rhythm.

“Olympiakos fans are very passionate. You have to expect me to play with passion and energy too.” I would say I’m more of a foursome. But I can play at five. I can help in both positions.

I saw Milutinov briefly before the team left for Monaco. Since his return he has dominated the EuroLeague. I can’t wait to share the word with him. We spent a lot of time together on the Serbian national team in the summer.

I like the way Olympiacos competes, how physical the team is and how they rotate the ball to get the best shots. These are characteristics of a team that wants to win.

Why not win the EuroLeague? It is a difficult event and we have to take it step by step.

For the last month or two I’ve been doing mostly individual training and trying to stay in shape. I think physically I’m fine, but I need some time to get into the racing rhythm.
