Artem DALAKYAN: “This victory belongs to the Ukrainians”

Artem Dalakyan (22-0.15 KOs) commended his victory in the fight against Costa Rica’s David Jimenez (12-1.9 KOs) that enabled him to retain the WBA bantamweight title.
– I am very happy that this belt will return to Ukraine, to its homeland, as I promised. I am happy that I boxed and showed good boxing for the fans in Ukraine at this difficult time. This fight is dedicated to Ukraine. This victory is for the Ukrainians.
– How do you evaluate the work in the ring? Are you completely satisfied or do you think something is wrong?
– My personal opinion is no. I have completed 60 percent of what I can do. Maybe he went too far, the collection was difficult, the situation in Ukraine, relatives, friends. Many factors, maybe a little, and that wasn’t enough to complete 100 percent of what I could do.

Usyk’s manager: “Fury forgot that Sasha has three titles but she only has one”

Oleksandr Usyk’s manager, Egis Klimas, believes that Tyson Fury would not initially fight against the Ukrainian, so the parties disagreed.
“I don’t want to go into details, but if a boxer doesn’t want to fight, he makes unrealistic demands and knows that a fight is not going to happen. They forgot that Usyk holds most of the heavyweight titles and Fury only has one.”
“They say Fury will be the face of this fight, but let’s see the pay-per-view sales for Fury – Chisora and Usyk – Chisora,” Klimas said.
The fight was previously scheduled to take place on April 29. If the parties do not agree, Usyk will have to make a mandatory defense against Daniel Dubois.
