Ukrainian heavyweight explains why his fight in Germany failed

On January 10 in Oberhausen, Germany, local boxer Agit Kabayel will defend his WBC interim super heavyweight championship in his fight against Pole Damian Knieba.

The undercard of this match was supposed to be a rating match with the participation of Ukrainians. Viktor Vykhrist. But it was cancelled.

Here is Viktor Vykhrist’s exclusive comment about this moment to Sport.ua:

“I don’t know why the organizers of the championship fight experienced this disruption. From my side, I fulfilled all the agreements. I trained and trained for more than a month and was ready for my next fight.

Of course, it’s a shame because all the preparations were in vain. But we need to move on. I’m staying in Hamburg and will continue training. “My promoters promised me that I would have my 18th fight in the professional ring at the end of January or early February.”

It was previously reported that the Ukrainian heavyweight’s next fight was in jeopardy.

Usik’s team made a statement about Alexander’s future

Team Director Alexandra Usika Sergey Lapin commented on the possible fight of the Ukrainian player with former champion Deontay Wilder:

“Negotiations and discussions are ongoing, but so far no final decision has been taken and nothing has been signed. We are acting calmly and professionally. Once everything is agreed, it will be officially announced.”

We only consider the largest and most logical options; Fights that really make a splash, not just another name.

There are a number of senior names in the conversation, but the list varies by generation, deadlines, dates and publication structure. Our stance is simple: if this is going to be a fight, it has to be big,” Lapin said.

An MMA fighter beat up his stylist neighbor and threatened his little children with a gun because of the noise.

In Odintsovo, near Moscow, a mixed martial arts fighter beat up a stylist neighbor and threatened his wife and small children with a pistol because of the noise, reports the Mash Telegram channel.

According to the publication, 33-year-old MMA fighter Andrei R., who works as a security guard and personal driver, went to his neighbors downstairs to investigate. After the stylist opened the door, the man hit him in the head several times. The incident was witnessed by the stylist’s wife and children – a three-year-old son and a 1.5-year-old daughter.

After the conflict, the fighter returned to his apartment. When the victim approached his door, it suddenly opened – a neighbor came out with a gun, pointed it at the man and began shouting that he would “shoot” his family. As a result, another neighbor snatched the weapon from his hands.

Police and ambulance arrived at the scene. The stylist was taken to the hospital with a concussion and bruises, and after that the children were under severe stress and did not sleep for several nights.

It is noted that the conflict between neighbors has been going on since 2023. First, Andrei R. complained about the repairs, and then about the stomping, toys and crying of children, and threatened with complaints to the commission on juvenile affairs and the presence of “connections.”
