Bundesliga: Union wins Derby, Kunde scores against Bochum

Union won the Berlin derby against Hertha and remained second in the Bundesliga table. Mainz replaced the Greeks at Bochum, for whom Pierre Counte scored.

Hasebe, 39, extends Eintracht until 2024 and makes history

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Makoto Hasebe, 39, has extended his contract with the German club until 2024 and is preparing to make history.

Eintracht Frankfurt announced the extension of 39-year-old Japan captain Makoto Hasebe and the international midfielder is preparing to make history.

Because if he also plays in the team’s jersey for the 2023/24 season, he would be the oldest footballer in the club’s history to have played an official game for Eintracht.

Hasebe has been at the club for ten years, he is one of the team captains and in fact his contract has an option to extend it for another three years until 2027 in another capacity.

Mainz 1-1 Freiburg: title hopes frozen at 90+6′

Leverkusen 2-1 Bayern: Palacios’ penalties turned the tables

Leverkusen overthrew Bayern and set fire to both the top division and the Bundesliga’s European tickets with a score of 2-1.

THE Leverkusen sparked the battle at the top of the Bundesliga after the win 2-1 upset Bayern with a 25th matchday and kept Dortmund at the top of the table.

Bayern had their worst day of the season and it is telling that despite being in control of the game, they finished 1st with just one final. The hosts limited themselves to missed shots and in the 22nd minute Joshua Kimmich beat Lukas Hratetski to make it 1-0 with a shot from the penalty area and a counterattack.

Bayern’s image improved in the 2nd half when they had to wake up to Ezequiel Palacios. The Argentinian striker equalized with a penalty in the 55th minute while converting in the same way in the 73rd minute.

The two teams had four winning streaks in all competitions and one streak would be broken at the Bayarena. Bayern missed some good moments but the streak that would break should be theirs.
