Tottenham 1-1 Sporting: The Portuguese saved in London thanks to a goal recognition in the 90+9′

Tottenham Hotspur thought they had made a comeback against Sporting but Harry Kane’s goal in the ninth minute of added time was disallowed for millimeters offside and a 1-1 draw keeps the two sides just a point clear of Champions League Group 4.

The reaction of Antonio Conte’s players was spasmodic and the visitors managed to keep the result comfortably in their favor for a few minutes. Over time, however, the nervousness and tension on the pitch grew.

A hand from Sebastian Coates to make it 2-0 and a three-point cover from Cristian Romero spoiled the mood in the second half of the match.

The game ended in a draw after Flavio Nazinio failed to capitalize on two big chances in front of his feet within three minutes. The penalty came in the 80th minute when Rodrigo Bedancourt gave Antonio Adan a chance to make it 1-1 after a missed shot.

Tottenham … settled outside of Sporting’s area and began pounding home, with Heung Min Son coming very close to conversion. It finally seemed to come in the closing stages of the game when Emerson found Harry Kane and the London captain slammed the ball into the net from close range.

Feb. The referee was notified there would be a review and Kane was found offside on VIDEO, resulting in the qualifying goal not counting. An enraged Conte so protested that a red card was inevitable, as was last weekend’s KO thriller.

Ilya Zabarny angers PSG fans

After PSG’s unexpected defeat against Sporting (1:2), the fans of the Parisian club exploded with anger. Although the European champion team controlled the game, they showed low efficiency in attack and mistakes in defense in the last minutes.

Fans have identified this summer’s new arrivals as the real culprit: the goalkeeper Lucas Knight and defender Ilya Zabarny. Chevalier was criticized for Luis Suarez’s pass to the centre, which brought the second goal, and Zabarny was criticized for the Ukrainian player’s poor play on the right wing of the defence, even though he played for only ten minutes.

Fans even dubbed them the “double maléfique” (“evil duo”) and demanded that the club reconsider its personnel decisions. PSG now have a chance to improve in the following matches to maintain their position in European competition.
