Guardiola’s extension has ‘reduced’ Haaland’s release clause.

According to Goal, Pep Guardiola’s extension at Manchester City until 2025 has resulted in the release clause in Erling Haaland’s contract being suspended.
Any club looking to sign Erling Haaland will have to deal directly with Manchester City as a clause in the Norwegian star’s contract has resulted in his release clause being triggered.
The 22-year-old signed with the Citizens until the summer of 2027, with his contract including a release clause that could be activated in 2024 for €200m.
However, according to a report by Goal, this clause no longer applies due to Pep Guardiola’s contract extension, which has extended his cooperation with the club until 2025.
As I said, the contract term that affects the release clause was not applicable achieving collective or individual goals, but it was about Guardiola and whether he would stay on the City bench.
It means that Haaland cannot leave the club unless City give the green light, who also have the final say on whether they want to sell the player.
If Haaland ever wants to leave, it will be for the amount the club want as there is no longer a release clause.

Premier League: Arsenal advance, Pontense stop Nottingham

Arsenal also destroyed Leeds, responding to Manchester City and keeping the gap between the two teams at seven points. Daniel Pontense’s goal denied Nottingham a win against Wolves.
Manchester City threw the ball at Arsenal and they responded the same. The 4-1 Premier League leaders against Leeds in London kept the gap between the two sides at seven points after 29 games, albeit with a game in hand.
The game was fairly lackluster for about half an hour as neither team found room to create. After the first good moment of the game, the guests scored the first goal with a penalty, which was won and executed by Gabriel Jesus in the 35th minute.
After the 1:0 the tide turned and at the beginning of the 2nd half Ben White scored the 2:0 from close range. Shortly after, Jesus doubled his tally and despite Rasmus Christensen’s equaliser, Arsenal never felt threatened, captain Granit Xhaka making it 4-1.
Nottingham played with fire and it paid off in the end as Wolves drew 1-1 at “City Ground” and kept the gap between the two teams fighting for relegation to one point. The hosts took the lead in the first half with their first-choice scorer Brennan Johnson, but conceded the ball to the wolves from the start, which didn’t turn out to be right. Several finals by either side were unsuccessful until Daniel Pontense, first substitute Julen Lopetegui, equalized to make it 1-1 in the 83rd minute.

Guardiola on the furious celebration before Cimika: “Ask him if I’m disrespectful”

Pep Guardiola’s celebration in front of Kostas Cimika for Julián Alvarez’s equalizer was perceived as provocative, with the Catalan coach declaring he wasn’t doing it on purpose, he was just celebrating the equaliser.
The snap posted to social media showing him has caused chaos pep Guardiola to celebrate Julián Alvarez’s goal which City equalized in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.
The reason it went viral is that the Catalan manager celebrated furiously in front of Reds’ substitutes Kostas Tsimika and Artur Melo, even shaking hands with the latter.

Guardiola’s behavior was perceived by many as provocative and disrespectful, with him commenting on the incident after the game.

“I was happy and said: ‘How nice was our goal?’. That’s all. Of course it was humor. Come on. I’m sorry. I’m talking to Chimika. You say it’s disrespectful. Ask him if I’m being disrespectful.

I celebrate a goal. I usually celebrate with my son on the pitch. I come here and I say, “The gate was nice, wasn’t it?”.
That’s all. I’m sorry. Do you think it was disrespectful? I’m sorry. I’m sorry.”
