Handball: OHE also introduces the fine into the possible penalties for referees who are referred

An important step was taken by the handball association, which also introduced a fine for the possible punishment of referees who are expelled for their mistakes.
The OCHE Central Arbitration Court has made a decision that will certainly cause debate.
The possible penalties for referees and observers now include a fine. So if a referee or observer is cited for his mistakes, it is not impossible that he will pay for them out of his own pocket.
The corresponding announcement in detail: “The Central Referee Committee of the OCHE has decided to introduce, in addition to the existing penalties (calendar days) for improper performance of the duties of technical officials, as well as the penalty of a fine for referees and observers.”

Handball premier: AEK, PAOK and Doukas continued with victories

AEK, PAOK and Doukas continued with victories in the Handball Premier, while Kilkis and Drama secured important victories.
Although it was difficult, AEK managed to win at home against Ionikos Affidea 31:27 and win 8:8 in the handball premiership.
Union returned to the top with 16 points along with Olympiakos. The “yellow-blacks” had MVP Vangelis Arabatzis and are now turning their attention to Tuesday’s European Cup game against Gornik Zambrze at the Olympic Hall in Ano Liosia.
Ionikos was very competitive and especially in the first half made things difficult for AEK, who needed a 4-0 run to “close” the game, with which they turned the score from 24:25 into 24:29 in the 56th minute.
PAOK continued its commitments in the Handball Premier with a victory, defeating AESH Pylaia 23:30 in the 9th matchday of the Handball Premier.
Dikefalos started the game strongly and made a small difference of two goals in the first quarter, 4:6. Then the home team fought back and equalized at 7:7, but with a consistently good performance the “Black and Whites” took the lead again with 8:11. In the first half, PAOK was ahead 13:15.
In the second half, PAOK kept the difference in its favor with 18:19 in the first quarter. A “black and white burst” was enough for Dikephalos to gain a clear lead of 18:22, which he then extended to 19:25. At this point, Stelios Seirekidis’ players “established” their dominance and led 23:30 for their fourth consecutive victory in the championship.
With a great goal from Achillea Tosca in the last second, Bianco Monte “escaped” Drama Edessa and won 28-27 against Aeropos.
The home team had the victory in their hands when they took a 27:26 lead thanks to a goal from Krallis at 58:06, but Kotsionis made it 27:27 at 59:35 with a technical penalty and in the next phase Aeropos team was unlucky as Dingeko hit the crossbar from the left wing position.
Drama had a 10 second attack after the timeout and made it all the way to the finals to get this great win that moved them up to 4th place overall with 12 points.
It may have been late, but GAS Kilkis’ first win on its return to the Handball Premier came in the most decisive game yet against Panhellenios 23-22 in Kypseli.
This big double win gives Nikos Georgiadis’ team a big advantage to stay in the division, which could get even bigger if they manage to win at home against Aeropos Edessa next week.
The Panhellenics were superior in the first half and even had a clear lead with 9:2 in the 11th minute
14-10 at 30′, but also 17-14 at 42′. From that point on, the visiting coach switched defenses to 4-2 and 5-1 and aggressively cornered the Panhellenic, who seemingly had no antidote, scoring just five goals until the final, while Kilkis scored nine goals in the same period !
The home team was still able to achieve a positive result, not only because they were ahead 22:21 at 58:36 against Russo, but especially because they lost in stoppage time with the same athlete penalty, when Borodai made an almost fatal mistake intentionally stalled a free throw opponent, resulting in a penalty and a red card.
In between, GASK drew 22:22 with Metsis (59:07) and turned the game to 22:23 with a goal from Valantis Eleftheriadis (59:40).
