Carolina terminated the contract with the Russian hockey player two days after signing

The NHL club “Carolina Hurricanes” terminated the agreement with the Russian defender Grigory Dronov, according to the official site commands.

The contract with the 24-year-old player was signed at the beginning of the week. Dronov was announced for the Chicago Wolves farm club. It is noted that the decision to terminate was made by mutual agreement of the parties, but the reasons for the separation were not reported.

Dronov last season played 30 games in the regular season and KHL playoffs with Metallurg Magnitogorsk and scored 15 points (5 goals + 10 assists).

    Torpedo beat Lokomotiv in shootouts, twice playing shorthanded in overtime

    Nizhny Novgorod Torpedo beat Yaroslavl Lokomotiv (3:2 B) on their ice in the Fonbet KHL Championship match.

    All goals were scored in the third period. The authors of the accurate shots for the hosts were Vladislav Firstov and Vasily Atanasov, shortly after that Lokomotiv defender Dmitry Simashev and forward Maxim Shalunov scored. The four goals were separated by less than 6.5 minutes of playing time.

    In overtime, Lokomotiv played on the power play twice, but failed to realize their numerical advantage. In the shootout, the Torpedo players were more successful; Alexey Kruchinin scored the decisive shot.
