Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has been given permission to travel to Spain to complete a loan move to Celta Vigo. Daily Mail Sport reported on Saturday that the 28-year-old Turkey international is joining the Spanish side on an initial loan with an option to buy for around £3.5million.

Celta Vigo will cover the salary of Bayindir in full, while the deal includes performance-related bonuses. Manchester United will also retain a high percentage sell-on clause if the option to buy is taken up.

Bayindir joined Manchester United from Fenerbahce for £4.3m in 2023. He has made just 17 appearances overall in three years and was keen for more regular game time.

Manchester United have also agreed a deal worth £14million with Middlesbrough for goalkeeper Radek Vitek. The fee for the highly-rated 22-year-old Czech goalkeeper is inclusive of bonuses.

The agreement between the two clubs includes a 35pc sell-on clause. Manchester United have also secured matching rights and a buy back option for Vitek.
