Bayern Munich defeated Stuttgart 5-1 in their Bundesliga fixture on Friday, scoring four second-half goals to secure a convincing victory.
Dayot Upamecano opened the scoring in the first half before Josha Vagnoman equalised for the visitors shortly after the break. Michael Olise restored Bayern's lead, followed by a Vagnoman own goal and late strikes from Aleksandar Pavlovic and Luis Diaz.
Bayern started strongly and broke the deadlock in the 21st minute. Joshua Kimmich delivered a corner kick to the near post, where Upamecano directed a header into the net to give the Bavarian side a 1-0 lead, which remained the score at half-time.
Stuttgart responded early in the second half to level the match in the 52nd minute. Following a header by Jeff Chabot, Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer saved the initial attempt, but Vagnoman converted the rebound with a powerful shot to make it 1-1.
Bavarian response
Bayern responded by increasing their tempo and quickly regained control of the game. In the 55th minute, Kimmich set up Olise, who finished past the goalkeeper to put Bayern back ahead at 2-1.
The home side extended their advantage just two minutes later in the 57th minute. Alphonso Davies made a driving run and effort, which led to an own goal by Vagnoman to make the score 3-1.
Bayern continued to dominate as the match entered its closing stages. Pavlovic added a fourth goal in the 82nd minute, before Diaz scored in the 90th minute to complete the 5-1 scoreline.
