Como beat Genoa 4-1 away in the third round of Serie A, moving top of the Italian table with a second consecutive win on the road under coach Cesc Fabregas.
The victory in Genoa followed Como's previous away success at Napoli, giving Fabregas's side back-to-back wins on the road just weeks before they meet AEK Athens in the UEFA Champions League on November 24.
Genoa's Osmajic put the hosts ahead before the 20-minute mark, but Como responded with three goals in the space of 15 minutes to seize control of the match and cruise to a comfortable win.
Martin Baturina equalized in the 25th minute. Diao then put Como ahead in the 30th minute, and Nico Paz made it 3-1 in the 40th. Diao added his second goal of the game in the 78th minute to complete the 4-1 scoreline.
Paz, 22, has been described as the long-term heir to Lionel Messi's number 10 role with the Argentina national team. Greece forward Tasos Douvikas started the match for Como and was substituted in the 66th minute for Moise Kean.
Como's Champions League meeting with AEK
Como are due to face Greek club AEK Athens, one of the most decorated teams in Greek football, in the Champions League on November 24. Fabregas, the former Barcelona, Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder, took charge of Como in recent seasons and has now guided the club to the top of Serie A. Genoa, meanwhile, are one of Italy's oldest football clubs, founded in 1893, and have made a winless start to the campaign.

Several other third-round fixtures were still to be played after the Genoa-Como match. Fiorentina against Torino, Inter Milan against Napoli and Roma against Atalanta were all scheduled for September 5. Frosinone were due to host Venezia, Parma were set to play Monza, Bologna were to face Sassuolo and Juventus were to meet Milan on September 6. Cagliari against Lecce and Udinese against Lazio were scheduled for September 7.
