Fulham have made a revised £25 million offer with add-ons for Southampton midfielder Shea Charles after having an initial bid rejected by the Championship side. The Cottagers improved their proposal for the 22-year-old Northern Ireland international, who previously played for Manchester City.
Transfer Negotiations
Southampton are digging in their heels and pushing for a £30 million fee. However, Charles wants the opportunity to play in the Premier League after missing out in May. Leeds United walked away from talks for the midfielder last month after making offers they felt were reasonable.
Squad Additions
Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa wants to strengthen his squad further after securing Real Madrid duo Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios in a £46 million double move. Fulham also remain in talks to sign Thiago Pitarch from Real Madrid.
