Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, regulars at New York Knicks games, swapped basketball for soccer on Sunday, attending the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
The celebrity couple were seen getting cozy in the stands. Chalamet, 30, was spotted staring into the eyes of Jenner, 28, and planting a kiss on her lips after kick-off. The Dune star wore a blue Adidas shirt while Jenner dressed in a black top. Chalamet’s father, journalist Marc Chalamet, sat alongside the pair, who have been dating for more than three years.
Tom Cruise, 64, was among the other celebrities present. The Top Gun star delivered a speech to fans before kick-off and appeared at the closing ceremony, flashing a wide grin as he walked through the stadium.
Matt Damon, 55, attended with his Argentinian wife Luciana Barroso, 49, who wore Argentina’s national kit. Sarah Jessica Parker, Javier Bardem, Adrien Brody and Trevor Noah were also spotted in the stands, with Noah supporting Spain.
For the first time in the tournament’s history, FIFA added a halftime show to the World Cup final. Madonna, Shakira and Justin Bieber were among the performers, giving the sport a Super Bowl-style entertainment element.
On the field, Argentina and Messi were bidding to secure a second successive World Cup title.
