Peruvian top-flight league Liga 1 has released the official schedule for round six of the 2026 Torneo Clausura season, beginning on Friday, August 21.
Title contenders Alianza Lima and Sporting Cristal will both play away from home, while Universitario de Deportes play host at the Estadio Monumental in Lima.
Universitario enter the weekend following a 3-2 victory over FC Cajamarca, keeping them firmly in contention for the Clausura title. Sporting Cristal also strengthened their championship bid in the previous round by defeating Sport Huancayo 4-1.
Along with Alianza Lima, both clubs remain key candidates to win the 2026 Torneo Clausura title. Liga 1 forms the top division of Peruvian professional football, with the Clausura serving as the second major tournament of the domestic season.
Opening fixtures and weekend clashes
Round six begins in Cajamarca on Friday, August 21, when FC Cajamarca host Atlético Grau at the Estadio Héroes de San Ramón at 12:00 p.m. Later that afternoon at 3:00 p.m., Sporting Cristal travel to Piura to face Alianza Atlético at the Estadio Campeones del 36, aiming to move into first place in the standings.
Saturday's action kicks off at 11:00 a.m. with Sport Huancayo hosting CD Moquegua at the Estadio IPD Huancayo. UTC will then take on Comerciantes Unidos at 3:15 p.m. at the Estadio Héroes de San Ramón in Cajamarca.
Later on Saturday, Juan Pablo II play ADT at 3:30 p.m. at the Complejo Deportivo Juan Pablo II. Deportivo Garcilaso then meet Cusco FC at 7:00 p.m. at the Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega.
Sunday marquee matches and broadcasting
Sunday's fixture card opens at 1:00 p.m. as Sport Boys face Cienciano at the Estadio Miguel Grau. The most anticipated match of the round follows at 3:30 p.m. in Arequipa, where Alianza Lima visit Melgar at the Estadio Monumental de la UNSA.
Universitario will complete round six on Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m., hosting Los Chankas at the Estadio Monumental.
All matches in the 2026 Liga 1 season will be broadcast live on the L1 Max channel. The subscription network holds the exclusive broadcasting rights for all participating clubs in the tournament.
