Croatian midfielder Lovro Majer said he will do everything he can to help AEK play in the Champions League, in his first public comments since joining the Greek club.
Majer travelled to the Netherlands, passed his medical exams, and immediately put himself at the disposal of coach Marko Nikolis. He said he was fully satisfied with this new chapter in his career.
Majer said he felt very good and happy since arriving, and that all his tests had gone well. He said he felt good and was truly happy to be there. He described AEK as one of the biggest clubs in Greece, if not the biggest, and said that mattered to him. He said the club was fighting for the title and had a chance to play in the Champions League, and that the team would do everything possible to reach the competition and try to have another fantastic season.
He said he knew what a big club he was joining and was happy that fans were pleased he had come to the team. He said he was looking forward to feeling the stadium atmosphere and playing the kind of football he enjoys. He added that he had watched videos of the ground, and that being there in person was certainly different and much better, and that he could not wait to play.
