Romelu Lukaku has agreed to join Turkish side Fenerbahce from Napoli in a £5million transfer, with Chelsea in line for a share of the fee.
The Belgium international has agreed a two-year contract worth around £8.6million a season and has already passed his medical, with the deal including further add-ons based on performances.
Chelsea are understood to have inserted a 40 percent sell-on clause when they sold Lukaku to Napoli for a knockdown £26million two years ago. He scored 14 goals in his first season in Naples, but injury and the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United restricted him to just seven games last season.
Fulham complete Charles signing
Fulham have signed Shea Charles from Southampton for £27million plus £3million in add-ons. The 22-year-old has signed a five-year contract until June 2031, with a club option to extend by a further year, while Southampton retain a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Speaking to FFCtv, Charles, who will wear the number 19 shirt, said it was a great club with a really good vision that the manager had explained to him, and that being there was a massive privilege. He said he hoped to kickstart his Premier League career at such a good club, and added that he was buzzing to finally get the move over the line, saying the club had a really good foundation from the bottom to the top.
Liverpool defender attracts Portugal interest
Liverpool centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe is attracting attention from clubs in Portugal ahead of a loan move. The 18-year-old, who joined the club from Austria Vienna in a £2.5million deal, has stood out for the first team in pre-season friendlies.
Despite the promise he has shown, post-Brexit rules mean the Austria youth international does not have enough points to obtain a Governing Body Endorsement for a work visa. He will start against Como in Liverpool's last friendly but cannot play a competitive match for the club. Clubs from Germany, Spain, Denmark and France have also been in contact about a loan for the 6ft 6in centre-back, though there is a sense Portugal may be his preferred destination. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk called him a big talent and a big guy who wants to learn, adding that he had a brief conversation with him in the last couple of days and that he knows he has to go on loan, so it remains to be seen where he ends up.
Napoli push for Badiashile
Napoli have offered a £2million loan fee with an obligation to buy for Chelsea's £30million-rated centre-back Benoit Badiashile. Discussions are ongoing between the clubs and the player's representatives to try to find a full agreement.
Chelsea have sold Trevoh Chalobah to Como and are also looking to sell Axel Disasi, who has had interest from Crystal Palace and West Ham. Mamadou Sarr, who suffered an injury at the weekend, is likely to go on loan to a Premier League side, while goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen has completed a loan move to Strasbourg. Wigan Athletic are closing in on a loan move for midfielder Reggie Walsh, and Portsmouth want 17-year-old winger Ryan Kavuma-McQueen on loan. Napoli also remain keen on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, with Arsenal wanting £20million for the Brazilian.
Villa's Nedeljkovic linked with Rangers
Aston Villa right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic is a target for Rangers, along with Hugo Siquet of Bruges. Nedeljkovic has had interest from several clubs including Osasuna, but Rangers are exploring a £4million deal including an initial loan for the 20-year-old Serbia international, who had a spell with RB Leipzig last season.
Burnley eye Leuven goalkeeper
Burnley are showing interest in OH Leuven goalkeeper Tobe Leysen. The 24-year-old former Belgium Under-21 international has one year left on his contract, so Leuven are willing to listen to offers.
