Manchester City and Lille are in advanced negotiations over the transfer of Ayyoub Bouaddi, with the 18-year-old Morocco international now valued at around £80m following his World Cup performances.

The midfielder was rated at approximately £60m before the tournament. Lille have pushed to retain him in France for another season, but City are prepared to use him immediately.

City's midfield needs have grown with Rodri attracting strong interest from Real Madrid, and the club also facing potential departures of Nico Gonzalez and Tijjani Reijnders. Bernardo Silva has already left the club.

Beyond midfield, City are also looking to add a goalkeeper to replace Leeds-bound James Trafford, with Marseille's Geronimo Rulli under consideration. The club are also exploring reinforcements at right-back and on the wing, with Chelsea's Pedro Neto and Paris St Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye among names discussed.
