Mohamed Salah close to signing two-year Trabzonspor deal

Mohamed Salah is close to joining Turkish club Trabzonspor after leaving Liverpool, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Romano reported that the 34-year-old forward is expected to sign a two-year contract. Trabzonspor also released a statement confirming that negotiations with the player are in progress.

Salah played in five matches for Egypt at the last World Cup, scoring one goal and registering two assists.

Mohamed Salah's Liverpool career

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and became the team's main attacking threat. He made over 440 appearances and scored more than 250 goals for the club, becoming Liverpool's all-time top scorer in both the Premier League and European competitions.

The Egyptian was central to Liverpool winning the 2019 UEFA Champions League and the 2020 Premier League, which ended a 30-year title drought for the club. He leaves as the third-highest goalscorer in Liverpool's history.
