Rangers beat local rivals Celtic 3-0 in Glasgow on Sunday, 13 September 2026, to book a place in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
Dan Neil scored twice for Rangers, in the 22nd and 75th minutes, while Venezuelan forward Kevin Kelsy added the third goal in the 59th minute.

It was the 394th meeting between Rangers and Celtic, a fixture known as the Old Firm derby and regarded as one of the fiercest rivalries in world football. Both clubs are based in Glasgow and have dominated Scottish football for more than a century, with the rivalry historically linked to the city's Protestant and Catholic communities.
Old Firm rivalry and rematch
Rangers, founded in 1872, are among the most decorated clubs in the history of Scottish football, having won the national league title more times than any other side. Celtic, founded in 1888, became the first British club to win the European Cup, lifting the trophy in 1967.
The two sides are set to meet again within days, this time in the Scottish Premiership, with the match to be played at Celtic's home ground.
Celtic's unbeaten run ends
Sunday's defeat was Celtic's first in domestic competition this season. Celtic still top the Scottish Premiership table with a 100 percent record, on 18 points, five clear of Rangers in second place.
Celtic's Europa League schedule
Celtic are also competing in this season's UEFA Europa League. They are due to face Benfica, of Portugal, on 15 October in the second round of matches in the competition's league phase. Celtic will then play Torreense on 26 November, in round five.
The Europa League has used a league-phase format in recent seasons, with clubs playing a series of matches against different opponents in a single table, rather than the traditional group stage, before the leading teams progress directly to the knockout rounds. Benfica are one of Portugal's most successful clubs and have won the European Cup twice, in 1961 and 1962.
Scottish Cup last eight
The Scottish Cup, first contested in 1873, is one of the oldest national football competitions still played. Rangers now await the draw for the semi-finals as the tournament continues later in the season.
