Real Madrid drew 2-2 with Italy's Fiorentina in a preseason friendly in Klagenfurt, Austria, on Saturday, marking the first match of Jose Mourinho's new spell as coach of the Spanish club.
The match followed two closed-door practice sessions against clubs from the Spanish capital. Brazilian forward Endrick opened the scoring in the 12th minute, and Alexis Ciria added a second in the 24th to put Real Madrid ahead. Fiorentina responded with goals from Roberto Piccoli in the 41st minute and Moise Kean in the 58th to level the score.
The game also marked the debuts in the new jersey for Dutch defender Denzel Dumfries and forward Carlos Espi, who joined the club on Thursday.

Mourinho's comments
Several of the team's key players remain on vacation following the World Cup, which gave Mourinho the chance to look at a number of academy youngsters in action.
Mourinho, speaking to Real Madrid TV, said this was Real Madrid with the players they currently had, adding that he had told the squad before the match that Real Madrid is Real Madrid, whether in a friendly or a training match. He said the team needed to keep evolving while also seeking results to honor the club's history, and he praised the quality of his players' first-half performance.
Upcoming matches and reinforcements
From Monday, Mourinho will be able to train with Brazilian Vinicius Jr, Moroccan Brahim Diaz and Portuguese Bernardo Silva, one of the club's new signings for the season. He will still have to wait for players who reached at least the semifinals of the World Cup, including star forward Kylian Mbappe of France and Spanish World Cup winner Marc Cucurella.
Real Madrid's next friendly comes next Saturday against Hungary's Ferencvaros in Budapest. The club's first official match of the new season will be against Espanyol on August 22 in LaLiga.
