Spain captain Rodri has landed in Barcelona to complete a £65.4m move from Manchester City after agreeing a four-year contract.

The 31-year-old midfielder arrived in Catalonia on Monday afternoon ahead of a scheduled medical on Tuesday. He addressed gathered media upon arrival to express his excitement about joining the Spanish club.

"It's been a few intense days, and I'm thrilled to be here," Rodri said. "Playing for Barcelona is a dream. We're going for the Champions League and everything else that comes our way."

Rodri is expected to be joined at Barcelona by former Manchester City teammate Joao Cancelo. The full-back is also due in the city after agreeing to return to Barcelona from Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

At this stage, Liverpool are unlikely to pursue interest in Paris St Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye



Guglielmo Vicario and Goalkeeper Transfers

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has arrived in Turin to seal a loan move to Juventus with an option to buy for £8.6m.

The 29-year-old Italian goalkeeper had been on Juventus' target list for some time. The Serie A club reopened negotiations on Sunday after a proposed move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez collapsed.

Aston Villa are replacing Martinez by signing Japan international Zion Suzuki from Parma in a £30m deal. The 22-year-old goalkeeper underwent his medical on Monday.

Following Vicario's departure, Tottenham are pressing ahead with transfer moves for Manchester City winger Savinho and striker Omar Marmoush. Liverpool winger Cody Gakpo also remains on Tottenham's shortlist.

Ayyoub Bouaddi Interest and Lille Stand

Manchester City and Lille are working to finalize an £85m deal for 18-year-old midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Lille have been fighting to keep the French midfielder for another season, but Manchester City and the player are keen to complete the transfer during the current window.

Lille head coach Davide Ancelotti addressed the ongoing talks following a pre-season friendly against Everton, where Bouaddi played 45 minutes to manage his fitness.

"Bouaddi is a very good player. He is available and he played 45 minutes. But that is only because I have to manage his minutes," Ancelotti said. "Next week we start the season and I consider him as an available player for me. Of course, there are negotiations. There is interest from so many clubs. He is a really, really good player and I hope that he is going to stay with us."

Ancelotti praised the teenager's maturity and potential. "He has a huge personality," Ancelotti added. "He is incredibly intelligent on and off the pitch, he is really mature. He is 18 years old but he looks like he is 32 when he is on the pitch. Technically he is really complete. He is also physical, really strong in duels. He's going to be one of the best midfielders in Europe for the next 10 years."



Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto Valuations

Manchester United have no plans to sell captain Bruno Fernandes before the transfer window closes next month.

Turkish side Galatasaray, Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and AC Milan have all expressed interest in the 31-year-old midfielder. Galatasaray are prepared to offer £42.7m, but Fernandes intends to stay at Old Trafford to lead United's Premier League title bid.



Chelsea have valued Portuguese winger Pedro Neto at close to £100m amid interest from Premier League and international clubs.

Joel Piroe is set to say goodbye to Leeds and join West Ham on loan

Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have been strongly linked with the 26-year-old. Stamford Bridge sources indicate that while no official written bids have been received, Chelsea are aware of external interest.

West Ham United striker Niclas Fullkrug is prepared to take a pay cut to complete a return to former club Werder Bremen.

The 33-year-old German international has been granted permission to travel to Germany ahead of an initial loan move with an option to buy. Fullkrug joined West Ham from Borussia Dortmund for £27m in 2024 and scored three goals before spending last season on loan at AC Milan, where he scored once in 20 appearances.

Coventry City have completed the £9m signing of striker Taiwo Awoniyi from Nottingham Forest.

The Nigeria international received a send-off at the City Ground during Forest's 2-0 pre-season win over Brest on Sunday. Awoniyi spent four seasons at Forest, scoring 21 goals in 90 Premier League matches.

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile will undergo a medical with Napoli on Tuesday ahead of a loan move that includes a £2.5m loan fee and a £23m option to buy.
