In 2023, FIFA and UEFA allowed Russia's U17 national teams back into competition under strict conditions, requiring them to play without national symbols, anthems, or official kits. Infantino left open the possibility earlier this year of reviewing the broader ban, stating that excluding Russia has not produced the intended results.
