Sporting de Braga manager Carlos Vicens said an additional Champions League spot provides extra motivation for his team ahead of their match against Moreirense. He stated that having a more internationally recognized league creates more opportunities to compete at the highest level in Europe.
Portugal's Primeira Liga gained an extra Champions League place for the current season. The top two teams in the standings qualify directly for the competition, while the third-placed club enters the qualifying rounds.

Vicens said everyone at the club is conscious of the extra incentive as Sporting de Braga pursue their European objectives. He emphasized that the team wants to start their domestic season strongly when they travel to face Moreirense on Sunday at 20:30.
The manager added that the squad will work to secure a victory because the match offers their first three points of the season. Sporting de Braga also recently won at home to gain an advantage in their Conference League campaign.
Looking ahead to upcoming fixtures, Vicens stated that he wants the team to display greater effectiveness on the pitch.
