The 2026 summer transfer window closed on Tuesday night after a chaotic final rush, leaving several high-profile European football stars without a club after failing to secure new deals before the deadline.

While the closing hours produced intense negotiation across major leagues, numerous prominent players failed to receive satisfactory offers or were left without a destination. Despite remaining unattached, a full starting lineup of experienced international talent can still be formed from the current market of free agents.
