FC Porto forward Samu expects to return to the pitch in November after recovering from a knee ligament rupture suffered in February.
In an interview with the agency representing him, Samu said the long recovery road was coming to an end and that all the effort and suffering would be worth it. He explained that he spoke with a psychologist and surrounded himself with people who helped him overcome this phase, adding that nothing will stop him after his return.

Samu also guaranteed that the recovery process has made him mentally stronger.
FC Porto squad update
FC Porto's Thursday training session featured central defender Bednarek progressing to conditioned training. The Polish defender suffered a knee strain during the Super Cup match, which was attributed to the poor condition of the pitch grass.
Bednarek is unlikely to be available for Sunday's match against Alverca, but he is expected to be fit for the second round of the league championship.
