Portuguese international forwards João Félix and Cristiano Ronaldo scored on their season debuts as Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr defeated Al Riyadh 4-0 away in Riyadh on Friday.
Al Nassr took control of the matchday two fixture in the first half through goals from defender Abdulelah Al Amri in the 18th minute and Brazilian forward Ângelo in first-half stoppage time.

Félix added a third goal in the 58th minute before Ronaldo came off the substitute bench in the 62nd minute to complete the victory with an 83rd-minute strike.
Ronaldo starts 25th senior season
The appearance marked the start of Ronaldo's 25th senior season as a professional footballer. The 41-year-old forward and Al Nassr captain missed his team's first two matches of the 2026/27 campaign due to a technical decision by the coaching staff, including a Saudi King's Cup round of 32 fixture.
Friday's match was Ronaldo's first competitive appearance since July 6, 2026, when Portugal were eliminated in the round of 16 of the 2026 World Cup following a 1-0 defeat to European champions Spain, who went on to win the tournament.
Ronaldo is now in his fourth season at Al Nassr, having joined the club three and a half years ago. He won his first Saudi Pro League title with the club in the 2025/26 season and recently announced the possibility of retiring from football at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
Félix continues strong scoring run
Félix's second-half goal brought his tally to four goals in three matches across all competitions in the 2026/27 season. Portuguese midfielder Samu Costa was left out of Al Nassr's matchday squad for the fixture.
League standings and Bruno Lage victory
The win keeps Al Nassr at the top of the Saudi Pro League with six points from six available. Al Nassr and Al Hilal are the only two teams in the division to maintain a perfect record of two wins from two matches. Al Riyadh remain 18th and bottom of the table without a point.
Elsewhere in the league, Al Diriyah secured their first victory under Portuguese manager Bruno Lage with a 1-0 win away at Al Hazem in Ar Rass.
The win moved Al Diriyah up to eighth place in the standings with three points, level on points with seventh-placed Al Hazem. Lage was sent off in stoppage time during the closing stages of the match.
