Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has introduced three strict new measures to improve discipline at the club, according to reports. The legendary former Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham manager returned to the Spanish giants this summer to restore order to the dressing room after a disappointing season without a trophy. He is tasked with managing high-profile personalities including Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Vinicius Junior, who agreed a new six-year deal at the club this week.
According to Spanish outlet AS, Mourinho is focusing on nutrition, punctuality, and injury recovery to raise standards at the Bernabeu. Under the new nutrition policy, players are told exactly what to eat every day by the club nutritionist. The nutritionist previously held an advisory role but now sets daily menus for all meals, including breakfast and afternoon snacks. Mourinho is determined to structure the kitchen around performance rather than individual preferences, and players have reacted positively to the change.

Changes to team punctuality
Mourinho has also updated the penalties for players who arrive late to training or meetings at Valdebebas. Financial fines have been replaced by mandatory solo workouts in the gym away from the rest of the team. Mourinho insists that players arrive one hour before training starts and has warned that anyone who breaks the rule will be sanctioned, regardless of their status, role, or hierarchy.

Centralised injury recovery
All injury rehabilitation sessions and programmes must now take place exclusively at Real Madrid's Valdebebas training complex. Mourinho banned external treatments to make recovery a collective task rather than an individual one, ordering that every medical detail must be coordinated through the club and his staff.
Real Madrid finished 12 points behind archrivals Barcelona in the LaLiga title race last season. The club begins the new campaign with a trip to Espanyol on August 22.
