Jude Bellingham led a group of Real Madrid stars to the Spanish Grand Prix in Madrid, where he declared his support for Mercedes' Formula One drivers.
The Real Madrid midfielder was joined by his brother Jobe, whose Borussia Dortmund side won 3-0 on Saturday, as the Spanish capital hosted a Formula One race for the first time since 1981.
The brothers were seen in the McLaren garage ahead of the race, before also stopping off with rivals Mercedes.
Bellingham was seen embracing drivers' championship leader Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, with Real Madrid players and drivers exchanging signed shirts.
Mercedes' official team account posted footage of the exchange on social media on September 13, 2026, captioned "Hala Madrid."
Fede Valverde, Vinicius Jnr, Rodrygo and Trent Alexander-Arnold were also among the current Real Madrid players present. Alexander-Arnold, an England full back, joined Real Madrid from Liverpool.
The trip followed a 4-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano on Saturday night, with Bellingham among the scorers for Jose Mourinho's side.
Bellingham on Mercedes and Formula One
"Good going, a good start to the season for the team, one little slip up but other than that doing pretty good," Bellingham said when asked by Sky Sports about Real Madrid's start to the campaign.
On the Grand Prix, Bellingham added: "I have been with Mercedes and met George and Kimi, they have been telling us about it [F1] and I have to act like I understand.
"To be honest the level those guys are operating at with the strategy and all those things is a different level. It is unbelievable, I am used to a PlayStation controller but these guys are whipping out things with 40 buttons.
"Credit to them and with the work they put in, they deserve everything they get. The thing I most admire is the poise of them all, it is really impressive."
In a separate interview, Bellingham revealed that he typically cheers on Mercedes and British drivers during the F1 season.
Mourinho's trackside interviews
Real Madrid boss Mourinho was also present, having vowed only to attend the race if his side won on Saturday.
Mourinho's interview with Sky Sports grid reporter Martin Brundle was abruptly halted in an awkward moment for the broadcaster. Brundle had seconds left of his customary segment and had to cut off the interview after just a brief exchange, when the national anthem began playing with the drivers assembled and Mourinho mid-sentence.
Mourinho, a former Chelsea, Inter Milan and Manchester United manager, was earlier collared by another Sky Sports reporter trackside and asked whether Bellingham could one day be considered England's greatest player.
"Very special," Mourinho replied. "Not a bit special, very special."
Mourinho offered no prediction, however, when asked how his former club Manchester United and coach Michael Carrick would get on in Sunday's Manchester derby.
"He's doing well Michael, doing well, I'm happy with that," Mourinho said.
Mourinho was also pictured in conversation with Spanish tennis great Rafael Nadal, a 22-times Grand Slam champion, at the Grand Prix.
Other Madrid greats at the race
Former Real Madrid players Roberto Carlos and Steve McManaman were also among the sporting figures present. Roberto Carlos, renowned during his playing days as an attacking left back, spoke with two-time Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin garage.
