Juventus has been fined 10,000 euros by the Italian Football Federation after a section of supporters disrupted a minute of silence for Italian football legend Sandro Mazzola in Turin.
The Italian governing body, known as the FIGC, announced the sanction on Tuesday following incidents during the Serie A match between Juventus and Atalanta.
In an official statement, the federation explained that a small percentage of supporters located in the first tier of the south stand had clearly failed to respect the silence decreed across all matches in the fifth round of the Italian league last weekend.
The FIGC noted that the fine could have reached 50,000 euros under disciplinary regulations. However, the penalty was mitigated due to the prompt condemnation issued by Juventus regarding the deplorable conduct, as well as the obvious detachment shown by the remaining spectators in the stadium.

The minute of silence was organized across the country to honor Mazzola, the former Inter Milan and Italy national team star who died on Saturday at the age of 83.
Before the final whistle of their match against Atalanta, Juventus issued a formal statement denouncing the behavior of the fans involved. The club stated that no footballing rivalry could justify a lack of respect during a minute of silence.
The Turin club added that honoring the memory of deceased figures and uniting in remembrance during tributes represents a shared responsibility that transcends club loyalty or team colors.
