Levski Sofia will face AEK in the Champions League play-offs after winning 1-0 away against Kairat Almaty. Having won 1-0 in the first match at home, the Bulgarian team entered the rematch as favorites and sealed qualification with an identical result.
Early goal and play-off schedule
Levski were the better side from the start of the match. In the 13th minute, Reinaldo made a fine move and finished from outside the penalty area to put the ball in the net for 0-1, a scoreline that did not change for the rest of the game.
Reinaldo and Serginho also hit the woodwork for the Bulgarians, who earned qualification to meet AEK. The first leg will take place on August 18 in Sofia, with the return match scheduled for August 26 at the Allwyn Arena.
