Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé returned to training on Monday after three weeks of vacation, alongside two new signings, fellow Frenchman Ibrahima Konaté and Spanish world champion Marc Cucurella.
All three players passed medical examinations before taking part in their first training session under new coach José Mourinho, who is back at the club thirteen years after his first spell in charge.
Mbappé was the top scorer of the 2026 World Cup with ten goals, though France finished fourth in the tournament. He spent part of his three-week break in Ibiza in the Balearic Islands with his friend and former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Achraf Hakimi.

Training videos posted online
Mbappé was also joined by Real Madrid physical trainer Sébastien Devillaz and posted several videos of himself training on Instagram.
Aurélien Tchouaméni and Jude Bellingham, the only Real Madrid players who took part in the World Cup and had not yet rejoined the squad, were due to arrive at the Valdebebas training center later that day.
Preseason schedule
Real Madrid has three preparation matches coming up, including the Teresa Herrera Trophy against Deportivo de La Coruña on Wednesday and a friendly against German club Schalke 04 on Saturday. The club begins its La Liga season on August 22 at Espanyol's stadium.
