Paris Saint-Germain striker Ousmane Dembele has rejected an offer from the French football club to extend his contract, according to news portal Foot Mercato. The management offered the Ballon d'Or winner 30 million euros per year, but the player's team is demanding that the figure be doubled.
Dembele's current agreement with the Parisian team runs until the end of the 2027/28 season. The 28-year-old forward has played for Paris Saint-Germain since 2023.
Contract negotiations and season performance
Last season, Dembele won the French championship, the French Cup, and the Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain. He was recognized as the best player of the season in the tournament and finished as the top scorer in the French championship with 25 goals.
In total, Dembele played 53 games for Paris Saint-Germain last season, scoring 35 goals and providing 16 assists. In September, he won the Ballon d'Or for the 2024/25 season from French magazine France Football, and the International Football Association named him the best player of 2025 in December.

Dembele previously won the French championship and French Cup with the club in 2024, the UEFA Super Cup in 2025, and the national Super Cup in 2026. During his career, he also played for French Rennes, German Borussia Dortmund, and Spanish Barcelona, winning the Spanish championship three times and the national cup twice.
