The biggest question facing Panathinaikos fans right now is when Azzedine Ounahi will make his first appearance in the club's colours, according to Yannis Seretis, speaking on The Football Show by Stoiximan on protothema.gr.
Ounahi, a Morocco international midfielder, is one of Panathinaikos' major signings of the transfer window. Seretis said the games against Kifisia or Panetolikos carry the strongest chance of being where the midfielder is given his debut.
Niki Volou performance under scrutiny
Turning to Panathinaikos' recent match against Niki Volou, Seretis said the team had shown a problematic side, struggling throughout to find any rhythm.
He said the introduction of Taborda and Levi Garcia gave the Panathinaikos side, known as the "greens", greater energy going forward, though the team still conceded chances to its opponents. Despite that pressure, Seretis said goalkeeper Peña again stood out with his performance.
He also noted that young goalkeeper Kotsaris was not used in the match, despite it being, in theory, one of the more straightforward tests on Panathinaikos' calendar this season.
Biniaris singled out for praise
Seretis gave particular mention to Biniaris, who stood out in the game against Niki Volou. The young player was a key member of Panathinaikos' Under-17 squad that won its championship unbeaten last season.
According to Seretis, the target for Biniaris this season is to gain significant experience with the club's Under-19 side while also aiming to feature in around ten matches for the first team. Seretis described him as a footballer with a very good physique, and said he could be one of the young players who earns opportunities within Panathinaikos' plans this season.
Panathinaikos plan for PAOK
Looking ahead to Sunday's match against PAOK, Seretis said he did not expect any surprises in the team selection.
He outlined the likely starting eleven as: Peña, Calabria, Kyriakopoulos, De Frei, Van Drongelen, Camara, Kangwa, Antino, Taborda, Levi Garcia and Tetteh.
PAOK, based in Thessaloniki, are among the traditional rivals of Panathinaikos in Greek football, and the two clubs' meetings are regularly among the most closely watched fixtures of the season.
