Paris Saint-Germain is preparing an offer of 115 million euros for Real Madrid winger Arda Güler, according to a report from Speedline Fichajes. The move follows PSG's failed attempt to sign Diomande from Real Madrid, and the French club appears determined to land another player from its Spanish rival this August.
Coach Luis Enrique continues shaping his squad, and sporting director Luis Campos is already working on the Güler option, the report said. Formal negotiations could begin very soon, and Güler's entourage is already carefully assessing the proposal, which would reportedly hand the Turkish forward a salary of 18 million euros.
PSG's attacking rebuild
PSG needs to finalize several signings for its attack following the recent departures of Lee Kang-In and Gonçalo Ramos, along with the possible exits of Ibrahim Mbaye and Bradley Barcola. Mika Godts and Ferran Torres are reportedly close to joining the club. PSG is now also said to have set its sights on Güler, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
Faced with what the report calls an attractive offer, Real Madrid could open the door to Güler's departure this transfer window, despite his potential.
Fenerbahçe's stake in a sale
A transfer would also carry financial consequences for Turkish football. Real Madrid's original signing agreement with Fenerbahçe included several special clauses, and the Turkish club kept 20 percent of any future sale. If the PSG move goes through, Fenerbahçe's finances would benefit substantially, according to the report.
The transfer window remains open, and although Güler is part of coach José Mourinho's plans at Real Madrid, the report notes that the reported fee, if genuine, would be very difficult to turn down.
