(Toronto) George Springer hit a three-run homer on Friday, helping the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Boston Red Sox 9-0.
Springer reached his 25and long ball of the season in the sixth, making it 8-0. Vladimir Guerrero and Raimel Tapia also scored for the Blue Jays, who had lost their last two games.
Guerrero fired a 447-foot cannon shot in the third, with Bo Bichette at base. He has 95 RBIs this season. Bichette, meanwhile, hit two singles. He totaled 48 hits in September, a team record for hits for a month.
Alek Manoah (16-7) allowed just two hits in six innings, eliminating four batters.
