Almeida’s quiver is strengthened, but with two question marks in the face of Ajax

AEK play their replacement roles for the continuation of their European tour in Amsterdam, with Matias Almeida seeing his deck filled but waiting for Sergio Araújo and Jens Jonsson. The data up to the specific match.
There will be no action for AEK this weekend as the referees have decided to abstain due to the threats Tasos Papapetrou has received against himself and his family. Your attention therefore turns to the game against Ajax in Amsterdam on the last matchday of the Europa League groups.
The Union will make one last attempt to continue their European journey in the Conference League and fight for two results at the Johan Cruyff Arena. Although the draw would be one of the “sweetest” in history, he will never play for that result with Matias Almeida.
Instead, they will fight for victory, even though Ajax have been promoted and, with Van Sip, are much better than the team that was presented at the OPAP Arena. Be that as it may, this is a very historic team that has the know-how in such situations and, in this case, has the blessing to play this final at home.
Almeida will have more solutions at his disposal regarding the game with Aris, as Levia Garcia and Kostas Galanopoulos have returned and are training at full speed (Cullens is also back but is not counted for the game with Ajax), but he also expects others to return back, not counting Cican Stankovic.
The two main question marks regarding Ajax and the “disruption” of the weekend
Sergio Araujo and Jens Jonsson remain on the pitch for AEK at the moment and whether these players will be available, including as substitutes from the bench, will be seen at the weekend, perhaps even on Monday, especially because the Almeida are fielding players who are available are 100% accurate.
Their presence in this particular game is crucial because they are two footballers who play a crucial role in Matias Almeida’s football plan, and not that they are the only crucial footballers. Given the interruption, AEK will complete two training sessions at the weekend at full intensity and speed and clarify there.
George Athanasiadis, who, as he recently explained, never gives up and wants to help the team again like he did last year when AEK won the double, will of course return to the ceiling. It would have been lucky for him to have played a game ahead of Ajax, but it won’t be the first time he’s been caught in the deep end. He did it again and even swam with AEK and Sherif, who started on a year-long loan.
AEK will have more time to prepare for this game than Ajax, giving AEK’s Argentine coach more time. The “price” for this in this case will be a lack of competitive speed. The Union will play a game after ten days for the first time this year, as it has started playing two games a week for good.
According to the original schedule, there were two games between the game with Aris for the championship and Ajax in Amsterdam, but there will be none. He was originally supposed to play one more cup game (at home) with Akis Manziou’s team, but this was postponed at the request of EL.AS. Due to the anniversary of Alexandros Grigoropoulos’ death and Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Athens the next day, the game with Panaitolikos in Agrinio was also scheduled.
We will find out in a few days in the Johan Cruyff Arena whether this contract will benefit or cost the Union.

Shakhtar named the city where European Cup matches will be played in the spring

Shakhtar Donetsk will continue to play its home matches in the 2023/2024 European Cups at the Volksparkstadion in Hamburg, Germany.
The official website of the Pitmen reported this and announced the sale of tickets for the first home European Cup match of the spring stage of the 2023/2024 season. However, it is unclear in which tournament Shakhtar will continue to play before the final round of the Champions League group stage; If the Pitmen win the away game against Porto, the Pitmen will advance to the play-offs. Otherwise (draw or win for the “dragons”) of the most prestigious club tournament in Europe, the Donetsk club will play in the Europa League in the spring.
We should also point out that Marino Pusic’s team can consider the Volksparkstadion lucky for them. In the current group tournament, the Pitmen lost to Porto in the opening match (1:3), but then beat Belgian Antwerp (3:2) and Catalan Barcelona (1:0) respectively.
