(Toronto) The Seattle Mariners overcame a seven-point deficit and beat the Toronto Blue Jays 10-9 in a wild second game on Saturday, knocking the Canadian club out of the playoffs.

Hernández fired two homers to help the Blue Jays open an 8-1 lead after five innings. However, a three-point slap from Carlos Santana in the sixth, where the Mariners scored four, and the four-pointer in the eighth allowed the Mariners to tie the game.
A violent collision between George Springer and Bo Bichette was behind the Mariners’ advance to eighth.
