(Philadelphia) Rhys Hoskins and Bryce Harper hit long balls in the Philadelphia Phillies’ 9-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the second round of the playoffs on Friday.
Along with his two-run homer, Harper made another double run. The Phillies led 2-1 in the best-of-five series against the reigning World Series champions.
The Phillies could qualify for the national finals with a home win in Game 4 on Saturday.

The Philadelphia club waited 11 long years – 4,025 days to be precise – before playing a playoff game at Citizens Bank Park.
The Phillies exploded with six runs in the third inning. Bryson Stott started the offensive streak with a double against Spencer Strider that allowed Brandon Marsh to cross home plate. Kyle Schwarber then took a walk and everything was in place for Hoskins’ three-point slap.
Hoskins, who had hit just one in 19 hits, sent the ball over the fence into left field and gave the Phillies a four-run lead.
