(Las Vegas) First baseman Anthony Rizzo has become a free agent again after refusing to take advantage of the $16 million year option on his contract with the New York Yankees for the 2023 season.
Pitcher Chris Bassitt did the same with the New York Mets’ $19 million option, joining teammates Jacob deGrom and Taijuan Walker as free agents.
