(New York) The Texas Rangers will host the 2024 Major League All-Star Game, Commissioner Rob Manfred confirmed Thursday.
Speaking at the conclusion of the annual owners’ meeting in New York, Manfred announced that the All-Star Game will be played on July 16, 2024 at Globe Life Field. This stadium opened during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020. It also hosted the World Series, at neutral ground, and the National League Championship Series that season.
The 2023 All-Star Game will take place in Seattle. The last time the Mariners hosted this annual classic was in 2001 – during Ichiro Suzuki’s rookie season and Cal Ripken Jr.’s final career season.
The 2026 All-Star Game will be held in Philadelphia, coinciding with the 250and anniversary of the independence of the United States. No announcement has yet been made about 2025.

It will be the second time the Rangers have hosted the All-Star Game, and the first since the National League won 3-2 in 1995 at Ballpark in Arlington. It was then the first midseason classic since the famous strike that canceled the rest of the season and playoffs in 1994 and shortened the 1995 season to 144 games.
