(LA) Pitcher Noah Syndergaard and the Los Angeles Dodgers have signed a one-year, $13 million contract, according to a person familiar with the negotiations.
That person spoke to the Associated Press on condition of anonymity on Wednesday because the deal had not been announced.
The contract includes performance bonuses that could allow Syndergaard to earn an additional $1.5 million.
Syndergaard started last season with the Los Angeles Angels, where he posted a 3.83 ERA and had 64 strikeouts in 15 starts.

The 30-year-old right-hander was traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in August, but his performance level has dipped. His earned run average was 4.12.
He started nine games in 10 on the mound as eventual finalists in the most recent World Series.
The Dodgers have room for Syndergaard in their rotation as star right-hander Walker Buehler is expected to miss all of next season following Tommy-John surgery.
Syndergaard is hoping to regain at least some of the form he displayed with the New York Mets, with whom he spent his first seven major league seasons.
In 2016, he was named a National League All-Star. The previous year, he had captured the Mets’ only victory during the World Series against the Kansas City Royals.
