(Toronto) Toronto Blue Jays fans will find new ways to experience a game at the Rogers Center this season.

The Jays unveiled the first complete phase of stadium renovations on Thursday, a week before their home opener.

All the seats on section 500 were replaced to make way for more user-friendly spaces, such as a park for young families and an esplanade overlooking the city’s skyscrapers.

The outer fence and bullpen have been erected, meaning pitchers will be warming up just a few feet away from fans.

The renovated stadium was unveiled following an official opening ceremony by Jays President and CEO Mark Shapiro, Rogers President Edward Rogers and CEO Tony Staffieri.
