(Seattle) Center fielder Julio Rodriguez was left off the Seattle Mariners roster for a second straight day on Wednesday, still suffering from pain in his left foot.
Mariners head coach Scott Servais said Rodriguez was feeling better but still had discomfort in his left foot.
On Tuesday night, Rodriguez’s name was belatedly dropped from the Mariners’ batting order just before kickoff against the Oakland Athletics.
After that encounter, Servais clarified that a pinched nerve in Rodriguez’s foot was the source of the discomfort.
In August, Rodriguez had the best month of his career. In 23 games, he recorded a . 429 batting average with seven home runs, 10 doubles and 30 RBIs.
