(Toronto) The Toronto Blue Jays begin their first trip of the season tonight against the New York Yankees in a four-game series.
The Toronto team won their first series of the season, winning two out of three games against the Texas Rangers at Rogers Centre.
The Yankees also won their first series of 2022, winning two of their three games against the Boston Red Sox.
Friday’s home debut was the Blue Jays’ first in Toronto since 2019, as the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to play most of the past two seasons in Dunedin, Fla., and Buffalo, Fla., New York.
The Blue Jays let slip a 6-1 lead against Rangers on Sunday, losing 12-6.
The Blue Jays return to Toronto on Friday to host the Oakland Athletics in a three-game series.
