The Miami Marlins called back Quebec’s Charles Leblanc. He could play his first major league baseball game Friday night against the New York Mets.
In 87 games this season with the AAA Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Leblanc has hit .302. He also hit 14 homers and drove in 45 runs.
Lavallois has come a long way. During the pandemic, he took over baseball fields in Quebec and across the United States to train with his fiancée and father. He drove 33 hours to hit balls in a cage.
