Panathinaikos ends a year without an away win
Ignoring OAKA’s away win for Panathinaikos, who closes a year without a positive result in an away game for the EuroLeague.
It sounds exaggerated, even extreme, but it is absolutely true. After the away defeat against Barcelona, on Thursday evening (3.2.) for the 25th game of the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos closes a year without an away win in the EuroLeague, as it was last celebrated away from OAKA on February 5th, 2021 .
It was the night Olympiakos won 88-77 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium, with Lefteris Bohoridis scoring 15 points and Howard Sand-Ross scoring 20 from 2/5 two points, 4/6 three points and 2/2 shots. Since then, the Greens have had 17 consecutive negative results while remaining on the road as they play Villeurbanne in Lyon on February 11.
Panathinaikos’ last win outside of Greece was on December 3, 2020 in Milan against Armani (80-77).
