Priftis: “Our goal is the Greek Cup and Championship”
Dimitris Priftis has set three goals after the Palau Blaugrana defeat: the cup, the league and Mantzouka-Avdala promotion.
He wasn’t happy with the difference, but he knew that Panathinaikos could say nothing more on Thursday night (3/2) in Barcelona. Dimitris Priftis acknowledged that now the Greens’ goal is the Cup (18-20/2 Final Four) and the Championship, along with the promotion of two young athletes, Lefteris Mantzoukas and Neoklis Avdalas.
In detail what Dimitris Priftis said:
“We want to change, we will fight in every game, we only came here tonight with failures that cost us. We have to bring that into the debate as well. We have to do our best, the season is great. We don’t accept defeats, we are disappointed in them. Of course we try and fight, of course the difference hurts us tonight. We need to be taught a lesson, especially in terms of the strength Barcelona are playing with.
We still have two weeks to go before the cup, that’s one of our goals. We have opportunities to dedicate more time to our young people, Mantzoukas and 15-year-old Abdalas. The year is difficult, we have to set other goals. We will do it, but we also have to maintain a high level to win the two national titles, the cup and the league“.
