EuroBasket 2022: This is the stage Lithuanians are screaming about in the game against Germany
The match between Lithuania and Germany for EuroBasket 2022 had a dramatic development and was decided in the second overtime, with the Panthers narrowly prevailing and the Baltic Greens going with the appeal.
Lithuania suffered their third defeat in the first phase of EuroBasket 2022 when they bid farewell to Germany after a horrible game with two overtimes. However, Lithuanians strongly protest against refereeing and in particular against a certain phase.
Towards the end of the third period (1’26” to go and Germany 63-60) Valanciunas was fouled while the Germans received a technical penalty for protesting.
However, the Lithuanian center did not take the technical penalty, only the foul shots, with the bench protesting that the result was changed as the rotation was affected.
