Ainars BAGATSKIS: “Discipline must be observed on the pitch against Italy”
The head coach of the Ukrainian national team shared his expectations from his meeting with Italy at the European Championship.
“Today has to be a very high quality game. We will have to maintain discipline on site.
Italy is a very experienced and intelligent team that can play according to the situation. We know each other very well.
Although most of the players out there play at the top level in Europe or even the NBA – I don’t see any problem playing. It will be important for us to be disciplined, play aggressive basketball, because Italians don’t like pressure.
“They only understand the language of physical pressure, and it’s very important that they follow the rules of fair play.”
The duel between Ukraine and Italy will take place on September 5 in Milan. The meeting starts at 22:00. Sport.ua will broadcast a text online broadcast of the Ukraine v Italy match.
