The national team against the hosts Italy for the 2nd day of the EuroBasket
The men’s national team is back in the EuroBasket 2022 battle, taking on hosts Italy on Matchday 2 of the tournament (10:00 p.m., ERT1 and LIVE by Sportish), in a day of 12 matches after all teams have played.
After a thrilling win over Croatia (89-85) on the opening day of EuroBasket 2022, the men’s national team has another tough task today (3/9) after beating Group C hosts Italy (22:00, ERT1 a LIVE from Sportish).
Dimitris Itoudis’ team wants victory and knows that in case of a positive result they will embrace first place in their group, which is important in view of the continuation of the competition. It is not yet clear whether he will have Giorgos Papagiannis and Costas Antetokounmpo, who did not compete against Croatia, at his disposal.
This is one of the two ‘busiest’ days of EuroBasket – the other being Tuesday (6/9) – with a total of 12 games as all teams in the competition go head-to-head.
